What are 301 Redirects?

Simply, a 301 Redirect, is a permanent redirect from one URL to another.

If you have a page, and you have moved it to a new URL, it is wise to insert a 301 redirect for this, so that in the instance that people are clicking on links to the old page, they’re immediately and seamlessly taken to the correct page. Another case when 301 Redirects are useful are when you move your website from one domain to another.
