How to Setup a Like Button, Like Box, Face Pile and More with Add Link to Facebook
The next step of the Add Link to Facebook guide is to look at setting up features including Like Buttons and Boxes, a Face Pile and a Subscription button.
Step 1) Scroll down the ‘Add Link to Facebook’ page until you get to Additional Settings, and then choose ‘Like Button’ from the toolbar.
Step 2) Tick the box provided to show the Facebook Like Button on your website.
Step 3) The call to action will be ‘Like’ or ‘Recommend’, depending on which box you tick from the options given.
Step 4) You can choose to show your Like button is three different layouts – standard, a button with count, or a box with count – and can change the width of the box to suit the size and layout of your website and sidebars.
Step 5) Tick the box shown below if you want the Like Button to be shown at the top of a post.
Step 6) Tick the box to enable the Facebook send button, which allows users to privately send content on your site to one or more friends in a Facebook message, via email or in a Facebook status.
Step 7) Ticking the box below will combine the Like and Send buttons, which will give users the opportunity to share content – and the news they have Liked your page – directly to their Facebook friends.
The Facebook Like Box is a box that shows your page, the faces of your users, and how many users you have.
Step 8) Scroll down the ‘Add Link to Facebook’ page until you get to Additional Settings, and then choose ‘Like Box’ from the toolbar.
Step 9) Choose the width and height of your Like Box depending on the size of your sidebars and the theme you are using. The layout of your site will depend on how wide and long your box should be.
Step 10) You can disable your Like Box header and box stream by ticking the boxes provided. This will take away the images and posts and have a simply Like Box layout instead.
The Facebook face pile is a cool way to bring personality to your Facebook page and website sidebars by showing the profiles pics of people who have liked your page.
Step 11) Scroll down the ‘Add Link to Facebook’ page until you get to Additional Settings, and then choose ‘Face Pile’ from the toolbar.
Step 12) Choose the size of width of your face pile depending on the size and layout of your website and sidebars, and how important it is to you to have Facebook front and centre on your website.
The Facebook subscribe button enables users to subscribe to your Facebook posts via your website.
Step 13) Scroll down the ‘Add Link to Facebook’ page until you get to Additional Settings, and then choose ‘Subscribe Button’ from the toolbar.
Step 14) Choose between the standard layout, button with a count or a box with a count. Then choose the width of your box, depending on the theme you are using and the sidebar width.
