How to Add a New Set of Icons to AccessPress Social Icons

The second step of the guide to the AccessPress Social Icons WordPress plugin will show you how to add a new set of icons to your website.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the Admin Panel, click on AccessPress Social Icons >> Social Icons. When you’re on this page, click on the Add New link at the top of the page.

Step 3) The first port of call is Name of Set. Here you can name your set, e.g. Header Icons, Icons Set #1, etc.

Step 4) The next step is to choose the icon set type. You can make your own set by choosing icons individually, or choose from available themes, which include the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.

Step 5) The options below decide how you display the icons (horizontally or vertically), and the number of rows and margin between each icon. You can also choose to have a tooltip (i.e. a message that appears when you hover over an icon) and if so, you can choose the colour and text settings for that.

Step 6) If you choose to use the Available Icon Themes for your social icons, a dropdown list will appear that features your available options. Tick the box of the theme you wish to use.

Step 7) If you decide to choose your icons individually, an Icon List appears on the right hand side. Here you can click on individual icons and set them up with links, icons and edit their appearance. Click Expand All to get a look at all of them at once.

Step 8) For each individual icon, there is a Preview of the icon, and then a host of settings, including title, icon height and width, the link (to your social media page for that icon) and more. Save Changes at the bottom of the page when you’re finished.
