The third and final step in the guide to the WP-PostViews WordPress plugin will guide you through the process of adding the widget for the plugin into the sidebars of your website.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the Admin Panel, scroll down and head to Appearance >> Widgets.

Step 3) On the Available Widgets section, scroll down to the bottom until you find the widget called Views.

Step 4) There are two ways to add the widget to your sidebar. The first way is to click on the widget, choose the area you wish to send it to, and then click on the Add Widget button. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the widget into place.

Step 5) Once the widget is in place, a number of options will come up. Give the widget a name (Default is Views), choose the statistics type (default is Most Viewed) and then choose where to include views from (including All, Posts/Pages, etc.). You can also set how many records you will show in the sidebar and set a maximum post length. Click on the Save button when you’re finished and the widget will be live.

Step 6) Below is an example of how the Views widget will look when it is live on the sidebar of your website.

This concludes the guide to the WP-PostViews WordPress plugin.
