Antispam Bee WordPress Plugin Guide

Hello and welcome to the WordPress plugin guide for Antispam Bee, a great plugin that allows you to protect your website against all manner of spam using a wide variety of great options and features.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) On the Dashboard of your website, scroll down the left-hand sidebar and click on Plugins


Step 3) From the Installed Plugins page, click on Add New at the top of the page. Alternatively, click on Add New from the dropdown menu under Plugins on the sidebar.


Step 4) On the Add Plugins page, type in the name of your plugin in the search box on the right hand side, at the top of the page.


Step 5) From the Search Results page, scroll down to your chosen plugin and click the button marked Install Now. If you would like to learn more about your plugin, click the blue link marked More Details


Step 6) The plugin is now installed and unpacked into your website. The last thing to do now is click Activate Plugin


Step 7) Once activated, you will be redirected to the Installed Plugins page. From here, you can read all the info about your plugins, and deactivate and delete it if you no longer need it.


Step 8) To find your Antispam Bee settings, head to Settings >> Antispam Bee from your Admin Panel. The settings are split into three sections, starting with ANTISPAM FILTER. From here, you can tick boxes in relation to who you will trust and what you will view as spam. Read the examples below, and tick the boxes to enable the features.


Step 9) The next section is Advanced, which include antispam tools such as Notification by Email (meaning that you will be sent emails to notify you of spam activity), delete spam after a certain number of days, and set a limit approval for comments and more.


Step 10) The final section is More, and the options here include whether you want spam stats to appear on your Dashboard (recommended), whether you want to include Trackbacks and pingbacks, and more. Click the Save all Changes button when you’re done.


Step 11) To see your Antispam Bee activity at any time, head to your Dashboard and scroll down until you find the Antispam Bee section.
