In this section of the guide to the Another WordPress Classifieds (AWPCP) plugin, we will take a look at the Form Settings where you can determine which field(s) are displayed on the Place Ad and Edit Ad forms.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to Classifieds -> Settings -> Form.

Step 3) Complete the fields as outlined below:

User Field & Website Field

A. HTML Widget for User field The user field can be represented with an HTML dropdown or a text field with autocomplete capabilities. Using the dropdown is faster if you have a small number of users. If your website has a lot of registered users, however, the dropdown may take too long to render and using the autocomplete version may be a better idea.

For this example, the default value of Dropdown was not changed.

B. Show User Field on Search If checked, the Show as ‘Posted By’ will be in the search form.

For this example, the field was left checked.

C. Show Website field If checked, the Show website field will display on forms.

For this example, the field was left checked.

D. Require Website If checked, a website field will be required on the Place Ad and Edit Ad forms.

For this example this field was left unchecked.

E. Make Website restricted? If checked, the website will be restricted (visible to logged in users only).

For this example this field was left unchecked.

The remainder of the fields in the Form area determine which additional field(s) are displayed on the Place Ad and Edit Ad forms, such as, price, phone and address details.

For this example, no changes were made to the default values.
