In this section of the guide to the Another WordPress Classifieds (AWPCP) plugin, we will take a look at the Registration Settings where you can determine if users need to be registered prior to placing an Ad and the URL to the login page.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to Classifieds -> Settings -> Registration.

Step 3) Complete the fields as outlined below:

A. Place Ad requires user registration If checked, a visitor will not be able to place an Ad prior to registration.

For this example, this field was checked.

B. Reply to Ad requires user registration If checked, a visitor will need to be registered prior to replying to an Ad.

In order to have this featured operational, navigate to Settings -> General, place a checkmark in the Membership checkbox then click the Save Changes button.

For this example, this field was left unchecked.

C. Custom Registration Page URL Enter the location of your registration page. The value should be the full URL to your WordPress registration page.

Example: http:///yoursite.com/wp-login.php?action=register.

Only change this setting when using a membership plugin with custom login pages or similar scenarios.
