The next step in the bbPress WP plugin guide is to create Forums and Topics for your website using the plugin.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) Head to the Dashboard and you will find Forums on the left-hand sidebar. From here, you can create a new forum or manage the ones that have already been created.

When you create a new Forum, it is similar to when you publish a blog post, and you can edit and target your posts by adjusting the Forum Attributes on the right hand side, before publishing when you feel the post is right.

Step 3) Before you publish your Forum, you can choose the Forum Attributes, including what type (Forum or Category), the status of the Forum (Open, Closed or Hidden) and the visibility (Public or Private).

You can then choose whether the Forum will stand alone or be the child of a larger Forum, before choosing the order of where the forum will stand on the Main Forums page. The most recent or most pertinent forums are likely to be 1,2,3, etc.

Step 4) Once your Forum has been completed, you can Preview the Forum before hitting Publish to add it to the list of published Forums. You can then moderate and review the Forum by heading to All Forums on the left-hand sidebar on the Dashboard.

Step 5) Once your Forum is live, it will look like the pic below. You can then monitor your forum and reply to posts directly from this page.
