How to Configure SEO by Squirrly on Your Website
The third step in the guide to the SEO by Squirrly WordPress plugin will take you through the settings of Squirrly, which includes setting keywords, creating a sitemap and much more.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) To find your Settings, scroll down to Squirrly on the Dashboard and choose SEO Settings from the dropdown.
Step 3) There are a number of boxes that contain your settings options. These detail what Squirrly does for your SEO for each point, and whether you want to allow it to automatically optimise your blog. Click Yes or No on the first box.
Step 4) The Squirrly options allows you to set which country you want Squirrly to check the Google rank for your website and posts. It also allows you to set error warnings, set whether to show the Enter a Keyword bubble when posting a new article, show keyword information, and add the Post tags in the meta keyword.
Step 5) A good favicon is an important factor with web users, as it shows the quality of your brand via a logo. Upload your website icon using the Upload File section below to get your favicon up on your site for tablet and smartphone users.
Step 6) Tracking via Google Analytics, Pinterest, Facebook and Google+ is an important way to get the most coverage from your posts, and ensure that Squirrly can keep tabs on how many people are coming to your site and where they are coming from. Keeping tabs on your activity allows you to make informed decisions on your content strategy without guesswork.
Step 7) Google, Bing and Alexa verification is important, as it allows these three engines to crawl and index your site, and thereafter rank your posts and pages accordingly. Enter the verification codes in the boxes below and then save your settings at the bottom.
