The sixth step of the guide to the WP Simple Firewall plugin will guide you through configuring User Management, including login notifications and session expiry.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) Head to your Dashboard and scroll down to Simple Firewall. Click on User Management from the dropdown. On the main page, enable or disable the feature by ticking or unticking the box provided.

Step 3) If you are accessing your site via iPhone and/or Android apps, enable the XML-RPC compatability features to allow for login and to bypass the accounts management rules.

Step 4) When an administrator logs in, you can set it so that you are sent a notification email when it happens. Enter the email address into the box provided.

Step 5) You can set the number of days it takes to automatically force a re-login by entering it into the box below. The default for WordPress is 2 days, or 14 days if you ticked Remember me. You can also set the idle timeout to log users out who have been inactive for a while. A session can also be restricted to the same IP address when the user logs in by ticking the box for Locked to Location, and they will have to login again if the user’s IP address changes. You can also set a max number of simultaneous sessions for the same username.

Step 6) At the bottom of the page, you can view the current user sessions and any failed or pending user sessions from the last 48 hours.

The next step of the guide will focus on How to Setup Spam Comment Protection in WP Simple Firewall.
