How to Use the Easy Social Share Buttons Configuration Wizard
In this section of the guide to the Easy Social Share Buttons plugin, we will look at how to set up the Easy Social Share Buttons using the Configuration Wizard.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, click Easy Social Share Buttons to display the Main Settings tab.
Step 3) Click the Configuration Wizard button to display the Template area.

Step 4) Click to select the default template you wish to use for button render.

After finishing the wizard you can change template in Main Settings -> Template or provide in advanced display options different templates for each button location or post type. |
For this example, Modern was selected.
Step 5) Click the Next button to continue to display the Button Style area.

Step 6) Complete the fields as outlined below to setup your Button Style.

Button Styles can be changed after closing the wizard using Display Settings -> Counters and Display Settings -> Names. |
A. | Social Share Buttons Type | From the dropdown list, select a Social Share Button Type.
The available options are: For this example, Social Share Buttons with Network Names and Icon was selected. |
B. | Activate animations | From the dropdown list, select an Animation.
For this example, Smooth Colors was selected. |
C. | Display counters of sharing | From the dropdown list, select either Yes if you want to display the Counters or select No to hide this option.
For this example, Yes was selected. |
D. | Counters display type | From the dropdown list, select a Counter Display Type.
For this example, Total Counter Only was selected. |
E. | Total counter display position | From the dropdown list, select a display position for the Total Counter.
For this example, Right Big Numbers was selected. |
F. | Button counter display position | From the dropdown list, select a display position for the Button Counter.
For this example, Left was selected. |
G. | Activate counters for social networks that does not support them | Place a checkmark in this checkbox to have an internal counter for all networks that do not support them.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
H. | Cache all counters that cannot be accessed directly | This field is checked by default and recommend.
This option will cache all counters that have no direct access will make this plugin refresh them on given period and will reduce page load and execution calls. For this example, this field was left checked. |
Step 7) Click the Next button to continue to display the Social Share Buttons area.
3. Social Share Buttons
Step 8) Place checkmarks to the left of each checkbox you want to display.
For this example, Share on Facebook and Share on Twitter were selected.
Step 9) Click the Next button to continue to display the Additional Social Share Buttons Settings area.
4. Additional Social Share Buttons Settings
Step 10) Complete the fields as outlined below to setup the Additional Social Share Buttons Settings.
I. | Buttons Align | From the dropdown list, select an Alignment.
For this example, Left was selected. |

J. | Twitter username to be mentioned | If you weant a twitter username to be mentioned in tweet enter it here.
For this example, katmandu282 was entered. |

K. | Twitter hashtags to be added | If you w=ant hashtags to be added to message write theme here. You can set one or more (if more then one separate them with comma (,)) Example: demotag1,demotag2.
For this example, this field was left blank. |

L. | Twitter share short url | This field is checked by default and recommended. This option shares short url with Twitter.
For this example, this field was left checked. |

M. | Short URL service | From the dropdown list, select a Short URL Service that provides a short URL service you to generate short URL’s used with Twitter.
wp_get_shortlink is build in WordPress option that will provide shorturl like this http://www.site.com/?p=123. Goo.gl is a short url serives provided from Google which does not require registration or setup. Returned address will look like this: http://goo.gl/abcdsd. Bit.ly is advanced short URL services that requires to work valid username and API key. Return address will be in format http://bit.ly/abvcsd or using your short domain that you setup in bit.ly. For this example, wp_get_shortlink was selected. |

Step 11) Click the Next button to continue to display the Display buttons on area.
5. Display buttons On
This area allows you to select where the buttons will display and the display position.
Step 12) Make changes as needed.
For this example, no changes were made.
Step 13) Click the Next button to continue to display the Position of Buttons area.
6. Position of Buttons
Step 14) Click to select the appropriate button position.
For this example, Content Bottom was selected.
Step 15) Complete the remaining fields as shown below:
O. | Additional Display Options | Place checkmarks in each checkbox where you want the buttons to display.
For this example, Display as flyin panel was checked. |
P. | Change display method for mobile | From the dropdown list, select a display method for Mobile devices.
For this example, Content Bottom was selected. |
Q. | Mobile sidebar position | If you have selected to display in the Sidebar, select a new button position from the dropdown list.
For this example, no change was made. |
R. | Hide buttons for low resolution mobile devices | Place a checkmark in this checkbox if you want to hide the button display on mobile devices with low resolution.
For this example, this field was checked. |
S. | Hide buttons for all mobile devices | Place a checkmark in this checkbox to hide the buttons on all mobile devices.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
Step 16) Click the Next button to continue to display the Optimzation area.
7. Optimzation
Step 17) Complete the fields as outlined below:
T. | Activate include of social share optimization meta tags | Place a checkmark in this checkbox if you do not use an SEO plugin or any other plugin that inserts social share optimization meta tags.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
U. | Use minified plugin resources | Place a checkmark in this checkbox to use minified resources which will improve the page load.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
V. | Load plugin javascript files asynchronous | This field is checked by default.
For this example, this field was left checked. |
W. | Load plugin javascript files deferred | Place a checkmark in this checkbox to defer the loading of JavaScript files for this plugin.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
X. | Remove version number from script and css files | Place a checkmark in this checkbox to remove the version number ?ver= which will allow this files to be cached.
For this example, this field was left unchecked. |
Step 18) Complete the Cache fields as needed.
For this example, no change was made.
Step 19) Click the Finish button to complete this process.
Step 20) Visit your site to view your selections.
