The second step of the guide to the WP File Upload WordPress plugin will take you through the process of configuring the settings so that you can get the best out of the plugin.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the Admin Panel, head to Settings >> WordPress File Upload. Once on the Control Panel, click on Settings from the toolbar at the top of the page.

Step 3) The first port of call on the Settings page is to enable Hash Files. This will enable better control of your uploaded files, but it can slow down your websites performance.

Step 4) If you wish to add a file to the Base Directory, add the file into the box provided.

Step 5) If you have a Google ReCaptcha Site Key, enter it into the box provided to add it to your site.

Step 6) Repeat the process of Step 5 below, this time for your Google ReCaptcha Secret Key.

Step 7) The next step is to head back to the Settings page and choose File Browser from the toolbar.

Step 8) In the File Browser section, you can view all of your files, and Create Folders for them. You can also Rename and/or Delete individual files as you go.

Step 9) Head back to your Settings page and use the Sync Database button to update your database and add new files to it.

Step 10) When you have added files, synced your database and more, head to View Log from the Settings page to see all of your history.

The next step in the guide will look at generating shortcodes to add to your posts and pages.
