How to Create Your Own Avatar with WP User Avatar
In this article we will show you how to use WP User Avatar to create your own avatar.
Please note: For this article you will need to install the WP User Avatar plugin.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the Admin panel, scroll down the left-hand sidebar and choose Avatars >> Settings.
Step 3) Tick the box marked Show Avatars to display your avatars throughout the site.
Step 4) Choose a maximum rating based on your avatars, e.g. suitable for all audiences (for your lovely smiling face) to X (for mature audiences only – e.g. nudity, gore, etc.)
Step 5) The Default Avatar settings is the section where you can upload your WP User Avatar or stick to the generated logos.
Step 6) Click on Choose Image under WP User Avatar to add an image to your avatar.
Step 7) You can upload a file from your computer or choose an existing one from your Media Library.
Step 8) When choosing a default avatar from the Media Library, click on the image and then add it to your avatar.
Step 9) Once your avatar has been chosen, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes.
Step 10) To find a list of your avatars (should you want to change them from time to time), head to your Admin panel and choose Avatars >> Library. From here, you can edit the avatar (including size, caption, description) and view it to make sure it looks right.
