In the second part of the guide to the Google Maps Bank WordPress plugin, we will show you how to create a map for your website using the plugins step-by-step process.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) On the Admin Panel, scroll down and click on Google Maps >> Create a New Map.

Step 3) The map creation section is split into 7 steps: Create map, add location, add markers, add polygons, add polylines, add layers (pro version only) and advanced settings. When you complete a step, click on the Proceed to Next Step button to continue. The first step is where you give your map a name, set the language, and choose the map type (default is Road Map).

Step 4) In the Location Settings, add your address and city/country. Once you do this, your latitude and longitude will be added, too. Make a note of these as you can add them to later Steps.

Step 5) In the Marker Settings, you can give a name to your marker, before choosing the category (depending on your type of business, e.g. Culture could be a cinema, book store or DVD store. Choose your marker from the options provided, and then proceed to the next step.

Step 6) The Polygon settings consist of the line and polygon colour and opacity. Enter your latitude and longitude and then proceed to the next step.

Step 7) For the Polyline Settings, you can change the colour, thickness and opacity of your polyline. You can also change the type of polyline from the default Dotted line to a Solid or Dashed line.

Step 8) To be able to adjust the settings for the Layers, you need the Premium Edition of the plugin.

Step 9) The Advanced Settings of the create map section consist of controlling different sections of the map by enabling Map Control Features, including scale, drag and pan control, overview and centering by nearest location. When you’re done, hit the Submit Map button.

The next step of the guide will focus on How to Manage Your Maps in Google Maps Bank.
