The second step of the guide to the Live Forms – Visual Form Builder WordPress plugin will take you through the process of creating a new form for your website.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the Dashboard, click on Forms -> Add New.

Step 3) You will be directed to the Add New Form page. Start by giving your form a title, and assign an agent to that form (e.g. a subscriber, admin, author, etc.)

Step 4) Start building your form, starting with the Commonly Used Fields, including Name, Email, Subject and Message. The shortcode for your form can be seen above these fields, e.g. [liveform form_1d=4]

Step 5) By clicking on the commonly used fields, they will be added to the Form Fields on the right-hand side.

Step 6) After the commonly used fields section, you will find Generic Fields, which holds choices such as Text, Number, Password, etc. Click on these to add them to your form.

Step 7) The Advanced Fields section includes choices such as Captcha, File, Full Name, URL, etc. Click on these to add them to the form on the right.

Step 8) Once you have added all of your fields, you will find the Form Settings at the bottom of the form. These settings include the button label, colour and the Thank You message your users will see after they have submitted a form.

Step 9) Once completed, you can alter your Email Settings, which are there for setting a From Email and Name, and you can also put some text in there if need be.

The next step of the guide will focus on Live Forms – Visual Form Builder: Adding a Form into a Post.
