In this article we will show you how to use Popup Maker to create a Popup for your website.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the left menu of the Admin Panel, click to select Popup Maker >> Add New.

Step 3) When adding a new Popup, you need to give it a name (for when you are in the All Popups section), and a title (for the customers/visitors). Your title should be enticing to your readers so that you draw them in to whatever you are selling/advertising within the popup.

Step 4) As you can see from the image below, we have gone for a 25% discount offer for the name and title. Once you have created yours, use the Targeting Conditions box on the right to determine which pages and posts your popup will show up on. You can choose On Entire Site if you wish.

Step 5) If you choose On Entire Site, you will be given options as to which posts/pages (if any) you would like to exclude from showing the popup. Your 404 page, for example, might not need a popup, and your contact page might not need one as the user might already be entering their details and a popup might deter them.

Step 6) The next step is to set the Display Settings for your Popup. There are a wide range of sizes (Medium is the default), and you can set the minimum and maximum width in px in the boxes shown below.

Step 7) The Auto Open Settings determine when your Popup will arrive. By setting it to open automatically (recommended), you can then use the Delay slider to determine how long to wait before the Popup appears on the page. It is good to give the visitor a few seconds before the Popup arrives.

Step 8) Use the Content box to add any text, images and links you need to give your Popup some extra appeal to your visitors. The example below is for a product offer, so it helps to have a picture of the product and some details to accompany it. Once you have completed your Popup, click on the Publish button, and head to your website to view the finished Popup.

Step 9) When you click on Visit Site from your Dashboard, you will be taken to your Homepage, and your Popup will appear in the time you have set. Give it a thumbs up or thumbs down, and click on Close to get rid of the Popup and return to your site.

This concludes our guide of the Popup Maker plugin.
