How to Create a Slider for Your Website using Easing Slider
The third step in the guide to the Easing Slider WordPress plugin will show you how to create a slider for your website.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) From the Admin Panel, click on Sliders >> Add New to start creating a new slider.
Step 3) Give your new slider a name by adding it the Name box, then click on the Add Slides button.
Step 4) The Image From Media section will come up, where you can upload images or choose them from your existing Media Library. Choose the images you would like to upload and hit the Insert into Slider button.
Step 5) Your list of added images will appear in the order you have chosen. Your slider is now ready to add to your site.
Step 6) If you click on the individual images, you can edit the slide to suit your needs, including adding links to custom URLs or the media file of the image.
Step 7) Once you have finished editing your slider, the next step is to set the Dimensions of your images. The default is 600 x 400, but you can change these. You can also tick a box to make your sliders responsive, which means that they will change to suit the device they are being viewed on (iPad, smartphone, desktop, etc.)
Step 8) The Advanced Options include enabling a 100% full width option, cropping and resizing images to fit your sliders, using background images and resizing your slider (for responsive sliders).
Step 9) You can get the transition effect for your sliders if you wish. The options here and the effect (fade, slide, etc.) and the duration (how long the transition takes).
Step 10) Your sliders have Next and Previous Arrows, and you can enable or disable these, show on hover, and change the position to be inside or outside the slider.
Step 11) The pagination icons (1,2,3, etc.) can be enabled/disabled, show on hover and be positioned in and around your slider using the options shown below.
Step 12) The Automatic Playback feature can be enabled or disabled depending on your preference. You can also set the duration for the pause between slides.
Step 13) Once you have completed your settings, hit publish. You will see the message Slider has been saved successfully, and now you’re good to go.
