The fourth step in the guide to the Simple PayPal Shopping Cart WordPress plugin will show you how to set up coupons and discounts using the plugin.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the Admin Panel, scroll down to Settings and then click on WP Simple PayPal Shopping Cart from the dropdown menu.

Step 3) On the toolbar at the top of the page, click on Coupon/Discount. Click on the WP Simple Cart Homepage link if you want more information about the plugin, and to watch a video tutorial.

Step 4) To enable the discount coupon feature, tick the box shown below. This will add a box to your checkout cart where customers can add their coupon codes.

Step 5) To add a coupon or discount, use the boxes shown below to add your details. They consist of Coupon Code (e.g. 99999), Discount Rate (20%, for example) and the Expiry Date for the coupon/discount. Click the Save Coupon button when you’ve finished.

Step 6) Once added, your full list of available/existing coupons will be shown in a table, as shown below.

The next step in the guide will look at how you manage your cart orders.
