Easily add a Facebook Like Box to Your Website the with Facebook Like Box Plugin

Hello and welcome to the guide to the Facebook Like Box WordPress plugin, which is a superb plugin used to add a great looking Facebook Like Box to your website simply by adding the Widget to your sidebar.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) On the Dashboard of your website, scroll down the left-hand sidebar and click on Plugins


Step 3) From the Installed Plugins page, click on Add New at the top of the page. Alternatively, click on Add New from the dropdown menu under Plugins on the sidebar.


Step 4) On the Add Plugins page, type in the name of your plugin in the search box on the right hand side, at the top of the page.


Step 5) From the Search Results page, scroll down to your chosen plugin and click the button marked Install Now. If you would like to learn more about your plugin, click the blue link marked More Details


Step 6) The plugin is now installed and unpacked into your website. The last thing to do now is click Activate Plugin


Step 7) Once activated, you will be redirected to the Installed Plugins page. From here, you can read all the info about your plugins, and deactivate and delete it if you no longer need it.


Step 8) The next step is to set the Facebook Like Box popup settings. Head to the Admin Panel and click on Like Box from the sidebar.


Step 9) You can upgrade to the Pro Version by clicking on the link on the right-hand side. This gives you access to more features, including giving you the option of where to place your Like Box and how long you would like to give before your popup appears on your pages.


Step 10) If you don’t upgrade to pro, simply Enable the Facebook Like Box popup at the top of the settings page.


Step 11) Head to Appearance >> Widgets from your Admin Panel. From your list of widgets, find Like Box Facebook and use the drag and drop functionality to place it into the sidebar of your choice.


Step 12) Once you have positioned the Like Box widget, a list of options will appear. On here, you can set the number of connections that will show up in your Like Box, and change the width and height of the box in px. You can also choose to show or hide the Facebook Like Box header and set the language. Click Save Settings when you have finished.


Step 13) The other settings (and the most important ones) are the Title and Page ID of your Facebook Like Box. To find out your Page ID, head to your Facebook page and go into the About section. Scroll down and you will find your Page ID at the bottom. Copy and paste this into the box and save your settings.


Step 14) Below is an example of how your Facebook Like Box will look when it goes live in the sidebar of your website.
