How to Enable WordPress MultiSite

Step 1) Confirm that your WordPress install can use Pretty Permalinks

Step 2) Open the directory WordPress is installed in and locate config.php

locate config-php

Step 3) Open config.php in a text editor and locate the line that reads /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Step 4) Above this line, add define( ‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true ); as shown below.

/**
 * For developers: WordPress debugging mode.
 *
 * Change this to true to enable the display of notices during development.
 * It is strongly recommended that plugin and theme developers use WP_DEBUG
 * in their development environments.
 */
define('WP_DEBUG', false);
define('FS_METHOD', 'direct');
define( 'WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true );
/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Step 5) Save config.php, log in to the Dashboard, head to Tools » Network Setup, and start building your network.
