This section of the guide to the Fast Secure Contact Form WordPress Plugin will take a look at the security feature settings of your contact form, which comprises of the Captcha Form.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) On the Left-hand sidebar on the Dashboard, head down to Plugins and choose FS Contact Form to be taken to the Settings page. On the toolbar, click on Security to check out what options are available for your Captcha Form, which is extremely handy for keeping out spambots.

If you find that you are getting a high number of spam emails, you can tick the Enable Honeypot Spambot Trap which creates another empty field for spambots to fall into. It is recommended that you only use this if you have a serious spam influx problem though.

Step 3) If you have Akismet protecting your site from spam, you can check the box that will determine whether or not your Akismet Key is active. You can choose to turn Akismet off for your form, in case Akismet targets emails that are not spam. However, if Akismet does determine the message as spam, you will be sent the message with Akismet: Spam as the subject.

Step 4) On the Domain Protect Settings, it is recommended that you enable form post security. This ensures that automated spam bots can’t post from off-site forms. You can list additional names in the form given if you have multiple domains for your site.

The next step of the guide will focus on Fast Secure Contact Form Email Confirmation Settings.
