The fourth step of the WP Optimize guide will take you through the process of optimizing your website’s speed with caching, minification, and much more.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) Head to WP Optimise >> Optimise Speed from your Dashboard. The first thing you will see is a toolbar containing Optimise Cache, Javascript, CSS, HTML and CDN (Content Delivery Network). Your first port of call is to optimise cache by ticking the box provided.

Step 3) By enabling the optimisation of the cache and its many features, the cache will be cleared throughout your site and make sure that it is running to optimum levels.

Step 4) The next section on the toolbar is Optimise Javascript. This will increase the speed of your website by cleaning up all areas of Javascript throughout your site.

Step 5) The next section on the toolbar is Optimise CSS, which can be enabled by ticking the box provided. This will clean and optimise your CSS and minify code where possible, ensuring that your site will run faster.

Step 6) The next section of the toolbar is Optimise HTML. This will check all uses of HTML throughout your site and clean it up and minify the HTML where possible. Simply tick the enable box and update options to start.

Step 7) The final section of the toolbar is Optimise CDN. Your CDN (Content Delivery Network) is the network that provides your website with servers, and by entering it into the box provided and enabling the optimisation, the plugin will optimise your CDN’s speed.

The next step of the guide will focus on How to Setup Related Posts with WP Optimize.
