How to Insert Google Maps to Posts and Pages Using Shortcodes with Google Maps Bank
In the fourth part of the guide to the Google Maps Bank WordPress plugin, we will guide you through the process of adding Google Maps to the posts with the aid of specially designed shortcodes.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the Admin Panel, choose Google Maps >> Short Codes. Alternatively, choose Short codes from the navigational toolbar on the Google Maps page.
Step 3) Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will find two sections: Short codes for Page/Post, and Short Codes for Widget. Click on these to get a one-image guide on how to add shortcodes to pages/posts or widgets. We’re going to do that for you though, because we’re awesome.
Step 4) When you’ve read your guides, start a new post by going to your Admin Panel and choosing Posts >> Add New.
Step 5) Above the main panel, you will see a button marked Add Google Maps Bank Shortcode. Click on that to bring up your options.
Step 6) A box will pop up next, and from here, you can insert the Google Map of your choice. Use the dropdown to select your map, go through the settings, and then click Insert Map.
Step 7) This will insert the map shortcode into your WordPress post. Finish writing the rest of your post and then click Publish.
Step 8) When your post is live, click View Post. Your Google Map will now be embedded in your WordPress post.
The next step of the guide will focus on Adding a Google Map Widget to Your Site with Google Maps Bank.
