The second step of the guide to the Jetpack WordPress Plugin is to guide you through the general settings page of the plugin, which is where you decide which features you want to include, and a few other settings.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) On the left-hand sidebar of your Dashboard, click on Jetpack, then choose Settings from the dropdown.

Step 3) The Settings page consists of all the features that are available, and you can use the search tools provided on the right hand side to search via developers, social, stats, etc. or simply choose all of them. From here, you can choose which ones you want activated and which ones you don’t wish to use.

Step 4) As you can see, there are a wide variety of options (34 to be exact), and each feature has a different meaning and task in hand to make your site better. Have a read through each one before deciding which ones you want to use, and use the Bulk Actions option to activate or deactivate your features.

Step 5) By clicking on the individual settings, a window will open that explains exactly what the feature does for your website. If you like what you see, simply scroll down to the bottom and click ‘Activate’. Some features can be configured from these pages too, to give their features a tweak before use.

The next step of the guide will focus on Introducing Jetpack’s Incredible Volume of Features.
