How to Manage and Create Member Directories with Ultimate Member
The fifth section of the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin guide will show you how to create Member Directories and manage those directories via your website.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the Admin Panel, head to Ultimate Member >> Member Directories. From here, you will see the Members directory, and the shortcode for the member form. Click on Add New at the top of the page to create a new member directory.
Step 3) The first step is to set a title for the new member directory, e.g. Subscribers, Customers, etc.
Step 4) In the General Options section, you can choose to only show members who have uploaded profile or cover photos, and sort users in order, e.g. new users first.
Step 5) The Profile Card section is used to set up what a member profile will include, e.g. enabling profile and cover photos, showing display names, taglines underneath the profile name and showing extra info below the tagline.
Step 6) If you enable the search feature under Search Options, users will be able to search members in this directory.
Step 7) You can set how your directories are shown on different devices by using the Results and Pagination section to set the number of profiles that show up, including on tablets and mobiles, and the maximum number that can show up on any given device.
