Managing Database Backups in Acunetix WP Security
The first step of the guide to the Acunetix WordPress Security plugin will take a look at the Database, which is used to create a backup for your website.
Step 1) On the Dashboard, scroll down the left-hand sidebar until you get to ‘WP Security’. From the dropdown that appears, click on ‘Database’.
Step 2) From the Database page, you can create a backup to ensure that your WordPress database – all your posts, comments, links, pages, etc. – is backed up, in case of any issues with corrupt files or if they get erased for any reason. You don’t want to lose everything, so backup as often as you can. Your backup files will be shown on the right-hand side.
Step 3) Below is an example of how it should look once you have backed up your files the first time. You can view your previous backups on the right-hand side at any time.
Step 4) You can change your database prefix to ensure that you are safe from any zero-day SQL injection attacks by entering the name of a file you want changing in the box provided, and clicking the blue button marked ‘Start Renaming’
