How to Add a Location Tag to a Map in MapifyPro
In this section of the guide to the MapifyPro plugin, we will show you how to add a Location Tag and assign that Tag to a Map and a Map Location.
For this example, we will be working with the two Map Locations uploaded via the Batch Upload process (Zip Codes: 11746 and 11901).
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Add Location Tags to Map
In order to view these locations on the Map, they first need to be added to the Map.
To add these Location Tags to the Map perform the following steps:
Step 2) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard navigate to MapifyPro -> Maps.
Step 3) Mouse over the Map to display a sub-menu.
Step 4) Click the Edit hyperlink.
For this example, the Saks Map will be edited.
Step 5) In the Map Filter Tags textbox, enter 11746,11901.
Step 6) Click the Add button.
Step 7) Click the Update button to save the Map.
Add Location Tag to a Map Location
The two Map Locations uploaded earlier each need to be assigned a Location Tag.
For this example, the Location Tag 11746 will be added.
To add a Location Tag perform the following steps:
Step 8) Mouse over the Map Location, Saks – Walt Whitman to display a sub-menu.
Step 9) Click the Edit hyperlink.
Step 10) Click the Choose from the most used Location Tags hyperlink to display a list of Location Tags.
Step 11) Click the 11746 hyperlink to add the Location Tag.
Step 12) Click the Update button to save the Map Location.
Step 13) Repeat the steps outlined above to add the Location Tag 11901.
If the Locations Tags were added as outlined above, the Map Locations page should now display as follows:
|Prior to moving forward, we recommend that you review each Map Location that was added via the Batch Upload process to add/modify any additional information.|
Display Updated Map
To display the updated Map perform the following steps:
Step 14) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard navigate to Pages -> All Pages.
Step 15) Mouse over My Saks Map to display a sub-menu.
Step 16) Click the View hyperlink.
The two new Map Locations are now available in the Filter dropdown list and are visible on the Map.
