Creating Pages using Widgets with Page Builder by SiteOrigin
The final section of the guide to the Page Builder by SiteOrigin WordPress Plugin takes a look at how you can add widgets to your pages of your website from the Add New Page screen.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) Head to your Dashboard and scroll down the sidebar to Pages and choose Add New from the dropdown.
Step 3) When a new page opens, you will see that the usual visual styles: Visual (normal) and Text (HTML) are accompanied by Page Builder. Click on that to see what options are available to you.
Step 4) You will see two options on the left hand side. These are + (for adding a widget) and ||| (for adding a row). If you click on Add a Row, it will give you the option to add columns to your site, starting with 2, and you can add as many as you like. We will look at adding widgets to your pages.
Step 5) When you click on Add a Widget, a new window opens on the page, filled with a wide selection of widgets to add directly to individual pages. Click on the one you would like to use and this will be embedded into your page.
Step 6) As an example, we have clicked on the Search widget, which adds a search form to your site. Create a title for the widget and click ‘Done’ and the bottom of the page to add it to your main page.
Step 7) On the next screen, you will see that a search form has been added to your page.
Step 8) When your page goes live, the search box has now been added, as shown below.
This concludes our guide of the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin.
