A Working Example of the Page Links To Plugin for WordPress

In this section of the guide to the Page Links To plugin, we will create a new page, add a custom URL, and add this page as a new menu item.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to Pages -> Add New.

Step 3) Complete the fields as shown below:

A. Page Title Enter a Page Title.
For this example, Search Google was entered.
B. Page Body For this example, leave the Page Body blank.
C. Page Links To Click to select A Custom URL radio button.
In the URL textbox enter http://google.com.
Place a checkmark in the Open this link in a new tab checkbox.

Step 4) Click the Publish button to complete this process.

Step 5) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to Appearance -> Menus.

Step 6) Place a checkmark in the Search Google checkbox.

Step 7) Click the Add to Menu button.

Step 8) Click to select the Search Google menu item and drag to the second position.

Step 9) Release the mouse.

Step 10) Click the Save Menu button to save the changes.

Step 11) Navigate to the home page of your site.

The new page Search Google has been added to the top menubar.

If you click this menu item, a new tab will open and you will be at the Google Home Page.
