How to Schedule a BackupBuddy Backup
In this section of the guide to the BackupBuddy plugin, we will look at configuring the Backup Quick Setup Wizard.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to BackupBuddy -> Backup.
|Prior to moving forward, please make sure you have set up the appropriate Remote Destinations for your backup.|
Step 3) Complete the fields as shown below:
|A.||Email Address||When BackupBuddy was installed, this field was automatically populated with the email address in the Settings -> General -> E-mail Address field. Modify this field as needed.
Since the email was a valid email address, a blue checkmark displays.
For this example, no change was made.
|B.||Create a password for restoring or migrating your backups||We recommend using a strong password to protect your data.
Click here to generate a strong password to enter in to these fields.
Once the password has been entered in these two (2) fields and if they match, a blue checkmark will display.
|C.||Where do you want to send your backups (scheduled or manually sent)?||From the dropdown list, select from the available options.
For this example, BackupBuddy Stash was selected.
|D.||How often do you want to backup your site?||From the dropdown list, select from the available options.
For this example, Active Blogger was selected.
If the fields were completed as outlined above, they will display as follows:
Step 4) Click the Save Settings button to save any changes.
Step 5) From the left-hand sidebar of the Dashboard, navigate to BackupBuddy -> Backup.
You will notice that the page has changed as the Backup Quick Setup Wizard has been, for the most part, set up.
