The next step in the guide to the SEO Ultimate WordPress plugin will focus on the 404 Monitor section of the Plugins features.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) A 404 page is one that comes up when somebody clicks on a link that has been broken or a page that does not exist anymore. The 404 Monitor keeps a log of all the 404 errors so you can actively go and make changes to the pages that are causing these SEO problems.

Step 3) Next door to the log you will find Settings, where you can set your monitoring settings and set restrictions for your logs, including whether or not you keep monitoring for 404s, the places where the log will count the 404s (search engines) whether the 404s will have referring URLs attached (it could be that someone has placed a link on their site to yours, but the URL has been spelt incorrectly).

The next step of the guide will focus on how to Easily Customize Your Site with SEO Ultimate’s Code Inserter.
