How to Setup Related Posts with WP Optimize
The fifth step of the guide to the WP Optimize by xTraffic WordPress plugin will take you through the process of configuring related posts.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On your Dashboard, scroll down to WP Optimise and choose Optimise Traffic from the dropdown menu. To open up the traffic module, click on the button shown below.
Step 3) The Traffic Module is a section at the bottom of your content that leads your visitors to other pages/posts on your site and optimises your traffic. This is usually in the form of Related Articles (as shown below), and comes in two module types: Fixed: Module will appear at fixed location as your choice in post’s content. Flyout: Module will appear on the right or left of user’s screen.
Step 4) The Custom class (CSS) of module will help you design your chosen module through the CSS.
Step 5) If you want your related articles to be accompanied by thumbnail images, enable the thumbnails feature. You can alter the width and height of the thumbnails and set a default one (insert the image URL into the box shown below).
Step 6) Each module can be altered to enable the title and an excerpt to be shown along with the thumbnail. You can also set it so that it opens the link a new window when clicked upon.
The final step of the guide will focus on How to Dynamically Insert Code to Headers and Footers with WP Optimize.
