Understanding Images as a New WordPress User
One of the most frustrating things as a new WordPress user, can be working with images. In this article, we will talk about how to work with images and overcome some of the basic issues you may run into.
We are going to break this article down into different sections regarding the different aspects of working with images inside of WordPress
Uploading an image one by one can be a headache and a pain. This is especially true when you are trying to create a gallery or tutorials with images (like we do here at WPKB). One of the most common things that new WordPress users don’t know, is the fact that you can upload multiple images at a time.

Another fun fact about the WordPress image manager that many people don’t know is that you can select multiple images that have already been uploaded. Todo this, simply hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click the images you wish to select/insert.
Sometimes you may find that the center/align function does not work. There are a number of reasons for this however there is a simple fix that should work for you.
If the align drop down in the image editor does not work, simply place your text position indicator next to the image (don’t select the image) and click the position center option (the one for text).
It should position your image in the center of the page horizontally.
