In this article, we will show you how to use the Inline Image Editor feature of WordPress, which allows you to edit an image without opening the default media editor tool. It does this by opening an easy-to-use toolbar within a post by simply clicking on an image.

Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.

Step 2) From the left menu of the Admin Panel, click on Posts >> Add New.

Step 3) To add an image to a post, click on the Add Media button to bring up your media library, or to upload an image file.

Step 4) Click on the image you would like to add to your post from your Media Library, or use the Upload Files section to add an image via your computer or URL.

Step 5) Once your image is added to your post, simply clicking on it will bring up the inline image editor, which is much easier than the old way of having to go into the media editor and doing it all from there. You can drag and drop your image anywhere in your post, change its position (left, right, centre and justify), and by clicking on it, you can add captions, text, etc.

Step 6) By clicking on the pencil feature of the Inline Editor, you will be taken to the Image Details screen. From here, you can add a caption, alt. text, and change the display settings (which you can do from the inline editor). Once done, you will be taken back to the post, and your image will be perfectly sized and placed!
