In this section of the guide to the Woo Framework for WordPress, we will look at purchasing and uploading a Theme that has the Woo Framework built in, and get the theme and its files up, running, and up to date on your website.

Downloading & Installing the Plugin

Step 1) Head to http://www.woothemes.com/products/bueno/ or search Bueno WordPress theme via Google or another search engine and find it via there. Once you have found the right page, take a read through the Theme Details and Woo Framework pages (as they have a list of features and details for you) before hitting the green button that says Free Download. That’s right, this theme is free! This will scroll you down to the bottom of the page, where you can click on another green button that reads Add to Cart.

1

Step 2) On the Cart page, you will see that you have $0 to pay, and you simply have to click Checkout Now to be taken through to the checkout.

2

Step 3) It may sound silly to have a checkout page for something that doesn’t cost you anything, but Woo Themes want you on board as a long-term customer, so they ask you to sign up to them. It is worth while doing so, as you can keep up to date with updates about new themes and developments. Fill in the details and click Place Order.

3

Step 4) On the next page, your purchase will be ready for you to download. Click Download your products from the top-right corner and this will take you to the Downloads page.

4

Step 5) From the Downloads page, you will see that your Bueno Theme is ready to download. Once you click on this, it will go to the Downloads folder of your computer, or Dropbox account if you choose to hit that option. Check your emails for your Licence Key, because you’re going to need that when you go to your site in upload your new theme to your WordPress site via the zip file provided.

5

Step 5) Once you have purchased and downloaded your copy of a WordPress theme with the Woo Framework built-in (we are using the Bueno theme for our guide), you will need to upload it to your website. Head to the Dashboard of your WordPress site and click on Themes from the Appearance section of the left-hand sidebar.

1

Step 7) On the Themes page, scroll down until you see an empty Theme box that reads Add New Theme and click on it.

2

Step 8) From the Add Themes page, click on Upload Theme at the top of the page.

3

Step 9) Click on Choose File to be taken to your computers folders, where your zip folder for the Bueno Theme can be found in the Downloads folder (unless you have moved it somewhere else already). The zip folder will now be in place and ready to install. Simply click the Install Now button and the files will upload. This might take a few moments, so be patient.

4

Activating the Plugin

Step 10) Once the package has been unpacked and the Theme has been installed, you can choose to have a Live Preview of the theme first, or click on Activate to get the Theme running right away.

5

Step 11) The Bueno Theme is now officially installed and in your gallery.
