Configuring the Accepted Payment Methods Add-on with WooCommerce
In the next WooCommerce WordPress plugin add-on guide, we will show you how to install and implement the Accepted Payment Methods add-on, which allows you to choose which payment methods your customers can use to purchase goods via your ecommerce website.
Step 1) On the Dashboard, head to ‘WooCommerce’ and click on ‘Add-ons’ from the dropdown.
Step 2) From the Add-ons section, click on ‘Free’ to bring up the list of free add-ons, and then click on ‘Accepted Payment Methods’ from the list provided.
Step 3) This will direct you to the WordPress.org plugin page for ‘Accepted Payment Methods’. Give the details a read-through before clicking ‘Download’, which will send a copy of the plugin to your Downloads folder in the form of a .zip file.
Step 4) Head back to the Dashboard of your website and choose ‘Plugins’, then ‘Add New’
Step 5) On the next page, hit ‘Upload’ and then ‘Choose File’, and find the .zip file for the Accepted Payment Methods plugin and hit ‘Install Now’
Step 6) Now that the plugin has installed, click on ‘Activate Plugin’ to complete the process.
Step 7) Head to ‘WooCommerce’ and ‘Settings’ from the Dashboard, then click on ‘Checkout’ from the toolbar at the top of the page
Step 8) Once on the ‘Checkout’ page, scroll down until you find the section marked ‘Accepted Payment Methods’. As you can see, there are a wide range of options available to customers, and by ticking on the boxes, you can also display the logo for each payment method, making it easier for the customers to know what they can and cannot use for payment on your website. Save your changes once you have ticked all of your options.
