How to Configure User Account Settings in WooCommerce
In this section of the guide to setting up an ecommerce website with the WooCommerce WordPress plugin, we will guide you through the account options for buyers who wish to register.
Step 1) From the Dashboard, scroll down and click on “WooCommerce”. This will take you to the settings page, where you will find “Accounts” on the navigational toolbar.
Step 2) You can change the page that users are taken to when they need to access their accounts from ‘My Account’ to any other main page using the dropdown provided.
Step 3) ‘My Account’ Endpoints are added to the end of page URL’s to handle specific actions. They should be unique to each action and easily identifiable. You can edit any of the provided options, or leave them as they are.
Step 4) The Registration Options give users the opportunity to register via particular pages of your website, including “Checkout” and “My Account” pages. You can also choose to display the returning customer login reminder on the “Checkout” page.
Step 5) The Account Creation options allow you to automatically generate a username from the email of the customer, and to automatically generate a customer password, too. Save your changes once you have set your options.
