How to Take Payments via CC Avenue with WooCommerce
In the next WooCommerce WordPress plugin add-on guide, we will show you how to install and implement the CC Avenue add-on, which allows you to make payments via CC Avenue when they visit your ecommerce website.
Step 1) On the Dashboard, head to ‘WooCommerce’ and click on ‘Add-ons’ from the dropdown.
Step 2) From the Add-ons section, click on ‘Free’ to bring up the list of free add-ons, and then click on ‘CC Avenue’ from the list provided.
Step 3) This will direct you to the WordPress.org plugin page for ‘CC Avenue’. Give the details a read-through before clicking ‘Download’, which will send a copy of the plugin to your Downloads folder in the form of a .zip file.
Step 4) Head back to the Dashboard of your website and choose ‘Plugins’, then ‘Add New’. From the next page, hit ‘Upload’ and then ‘Choose File’, and find the .zip file for your new plugin and click on ‘Install Now’.
Step 5) The plugin has now been installed. Click on ‘Activate Plugin’ to finish the process.
Step 6) To find the settings for the CC Avenue add-on, head to ‘WooCommerce’ from the Dashboard, then choose ‘Checkout’ from the top toolbar of the settings page. You will find ‘CC Avenue’ on the second toolbar below the top one. Give that a click and then enable the payment method by ticking the box. You can also change the title if you feel the need.
Step 7) The Description box gives you the opportunity to change what the user sees in relation to the payment method. If the one that exists does the job, there’s no need to change it.
Step 8) Go to your settings page of your CC Avenue account and grab your Merchant ID, and enter it into the box provided.
Step 9) You will have been given a Working Key when you set up your CC Avenue account. Enter it in this box to enable payments.
Step 10) The same rules that applied for Merchant ID and Working Key apply here for your Access Code. Enter it here or customers will not be able to make CC Avenue payments via your website.
