WP Product Review: Enabling Customer Reviews for Your Website
In this article we will show you how to use WP Product Review to enable customer reviews for your website.
Please note: For this article you will need to install the WP Product Review plugin.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the admin panel, scroll down the left-hand sidebar and click on Product Review.
Step 3) The General Settings page is used to position your review box, show your review comments, and decide how much a customer review can determine the overall review of the product.
Step 4) The rating colours are there so that visitors and customers can differentiate between a good and bad review based on the colours chosen by you. Set your colours and then save changes.
Step 5) The typography options are used to give your review boxes some colour and give different sections a different look. This includes borders, headers, fonts and text colour. Save your changes when complete.
Step 6) If you have an ecommerce website, you can link buy buttons up to your product pages so that people reading reviews can then go and buy your products in a click. You can add a button icon, then change the colour, hover, hover background, and much more. Save your changes once completed.
Step 7) Once your review settings are completed, head to Appearance >> Widgets from the Admin panel and choose whether you want your latest products and top products displayed in your sidebars of your website. Simply drag and drop the CWP widgets into the section you want them to be displayed on.
Step 8) When you create a new post (by choosing Posts >> Add New on your admin panel), scroll down the page to find your product review settings.
Step 9) If the post a review post, tick the yes box. From then on, add the product details, including adding/uploading an image to the post. You can also add affiliate links, price and much more.
Step 10) The next step is to create boxes for the product review, including Pros and Cons for the products. For the product options, add options that your customers can then grade using the review slider once the post is live. Take a look at the example in Step 11.
