WP Sites Show IDs WordPress Plugin Guide
Hello and welcome to the WordPress plugin guide for WP Sites Show IDs, which is a great plugin that shows all the IDs of your posts, pages, media content and users of your website. An ID is a unique number that identifies a particular item in your WordPress database, so this is a useful feature for admin users to help navigate their site and find items more easily.
Step 1) Login to the WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2) On the Dashboard of your website, scroll down the left-hand sidebar and click on Plugins
Step 3) From the Installed Plugins page, click on Add New at the top of the page. Alternatively, click on Add New from the dropdown menu under Plugins on the sidebar.
Step 4) On the Add Plugins page, type in the nameof your plugin in the search box on the right hand side, at the top of the page.
Step 5) From the Search Results page, scroll down to your chosen plugin and click the button marked Install Now. If you would like to learn more about your plugin, click the blue link marked More Details
Step 6) The plugin is now installed and unpacked into your website. The last thing to do now is click Activate Plugin
Step 7) Once activated, you will be redirected to the Installed Plugins page. From here, you can read all the info about your plugins, and deactivate and delete it if you no longer need it.
Step 8) Once activated, the IDs will be shown on all areas of your Admin Panel, including posts, pages, categories, tags, links, media, users, comments, link categories, custom taxonomies, and custom post types. Below is an example of the Users page, where the IDs are shown on the far-right of the list.
Step 9) Below is an example of the Posts section. IDs are shown on the right-hand side of the post list.
Step 10) In your Media section (Media >> Library), the IDs are shown at the far-right of the panel.
Step 11) Head to Pages >> All Pages to see the IDs for your pages, which are also on the far-right of the list.
